Lucy Harris Junior Layout Artist at Blue Zoo

Lucy Harris

Many congratulations to Escapee Lucy Harris,  who has started work as a junior layout artist at Blue Zoo Animation in London. 

While at Escape Studios, Lucy worked on a number of award-winning short films, including "March of the Potguins", which won a "Five Star Award" at the British Amateur Film Festival in 2020. 

In 2020 Lucy directed the short sci-fi fantasy "Over Under", which won "Best Animation" at the Flicks Festival and "Most Fabulous Animation" at the Animafantasia Film Fest. 

Studio Assistant

Lucy also joined the Escape Studios team as a studio assistant, helping our first year undergraduate animation students to progress in their work, helping to solve technical problems and also offer practical advice on animation techniques.  

Studio assistants form an essential part of the feedback process at Escape Studios, one of the pillars of what we call The Escape Method.

Lucy joins many Escapees who have joined Blue Zoo in recent years. These include:

• Maciej Osuch, who joined Blue Zoo as an animator in February 2021
• Daniel Lötter, who joined Blue Zoo as an animator in February 2021
• Tim Jones, Junior Animator at Blue Zoo, January 2021
• Jamie Floodgate: Jamie joined Blue Zoo in August 2019 as a junior animator, having graduated from our 12 week course in animation
• Storyboard artist Fred O'Rourke, who joined Blue Zoo in July 2018
• Animator Marc Godfrey, who started as an animator at Blue Zoo in 2015
